About The Science of the Spill

This web site is part of a collaborative effort to provide responsive, scientifically based multi-media outreach to the public regarding the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The work is being conducted by investigators from the University of Southern Mississippi's Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL), Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB), and Mississippi State University. The team is collaborating with the Center for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence, Central Gulf of Mexico (COSEE-GOM). The project is funded by a Rapid Response Grant from the National Science Foundation.
